The main leak is coming from the right hand side of the transfer box

Yes I have lift, I have had a look at it. The only thing that’s wrong is the seals so no need to upgrade or change anything. It’s all tight no play in anything. So can just drop the transfer box out the bottom like you said

I have a 2001 td5 90 I would assume it’s just a lever but I don’t know someone else will be able to tell me

Seals have blown on mine, going to tackle it tonight and have it done by Sunday hopefully

No. I’m sure it’s not that hard, was just wondering if anyone else has done it. I would assume it’s props off, disconnect the breather and cable running to the transfer box gear stick, then undo the bolts that hold it to the chassis

Morning all,
Looking to remove my transfer box off my Td5 90 to do the seals and have a leak. I can’t seem anything anywhere online on how to take it off just to get me going in the right direction. Was just wondering if any of you have taken yours out and could point me in the right direction...

I have an early 2001, so Y reg, defender TD5. Does anyone know if it has the cat or not because I know for definite on the 51 reg defenders they did.

When I put my defender into reverse today I started to hear a knocking sound coming from the transfer box/handbrake drum. I took the middle inspection panel out and when I was reversing and looking at the transfer box the handbrake drum seemed to be catching but I thought it was would...
