😂 you physically cannot keep it clean enough with a make shift!
Thanks, deliberated over colour for ages but always thought the one on Haynes manual looked such a good colour. I think it’s quite close!
I remeber a spray shop had a load of boots(slip on style ) sent to them with free socks. First sprayer went in painted the car, boot stuck to floor, came off & new socks released lint everywhere.
Spray management then realise they better stop the...
Cheers both. I’ve got a couple new finishing pads which should take it up to near perfect. Just doing a couple panels at a time whilst learning. Only the door and wing done so far in colour. There are a few errors here n there. I somehow dripped...
It’s a tidy finish after lots of wet sanding and compound lol. It’s not great out the gun but once sanded and buffed it’s as good as I could hope. No orange peel at all now
nice work, all in a day as well, including a few on the fly mods.
I can amost hear the A team theme tune each time you post ;)
FFS all i did was fit a couple o light guards and sat in the sun..lol:vb-drink:
Not getting the best out the gun finish but wet sanding is getting me where I want. I’ve no idea why I’m getting orange peel. I’ve upped the thinner and psi as per a thread I read on Migweld. Likely lack of experience. Main thing is is sticking...

Hi all,
I’ll explain the points first so I don’t rattle on:
30psi
30 percent slow thinners - base and hardener mixed as per spec sheet. 15 percent advised is too thick. I’ve read elsewhere of others using 40%
**** cheap gun - I used one in a...
To me, the Evoque is an image car, it lacks the practicality of the Freelander for example as it has little boot space and I believe not much rear passenger space. Personally, I would prefer an FL2 or even a Toyota RAV.
I’ve never taken an inner wing back that far. I had to remove the welds on the bulkhead bar and slide the panel I’m remaking out. Took a lot of jimmying but I’m glad I did it that way. I’m a lot more patient and systematic now than I was few...
A week of broken or faulty gauges.
Forgot to take pics as I went but I’ve flatted back one door and one wing. This involved taking back several areas to bare metal due to corrosion.
First faulty gauge - gun gauge wouldn’t read and my spare...
