P38A Thats new! Buzzy noise.

Just popped the bonnet to check if I've finally fixed the leaky number 1 injector and I can hear a buzzing noise which appears to be coming from the fip area. Not ran it since yesterday, not started it, not even put the key in today, just popped the bonnet.

Probably just something vibrating in tune with the engine vibrations.

Disconnect the map sensor, this sounds familiar

Not coming from just behind and below the battery by any chance where the alarm sounder is located?

Definitely sounded fip side but I've had to go out, just got back. I'll have a better listen tomorrow but, yes, that alarm sounds feasible as the ignition was off....maybe valve block too?.

Valve block is possible. The B-Bus sounder has an internal battery that dies and that can cause it to buzz.

It's stopped doing it now before I could have another listen.
